Emma and Mina, Civil War/Primitive dolls

I designed Emma to look as though she appears to have survived the prairie life.  She is 16" and is made with tea-stained muslin and stuffed with Sheltland wool.  She is then painted and sealed.  She has a soft feel to her, not a rough painted one.  Finally, her outfit finishes her.  She is good with secrets and long walks through the creek.

Mina  is a quiet-natured doll yet nothing passes her observation.  She now lives with Lola from Stitchin" by the River.  Lola has a fantastic line of Civil War quilts, memorializing lives of the slaves.

  3. Humble Stitcher---I'm sorry it has taken me so long to reply; I am new to blogging and I didn't notice I had any extra comments. :(
I will be making the doll pattern(s) available, hopefully by spring. I have really fallen in love with Emma----have made a lot of dolls in my life but Emma has an especially fond place in my heart. Mina will look great, once I dress the poor gal! Please check back to see when the patterns are done; I will tell how to get in contact with me. Thanks for your kind words....MHM
